Q. How long does a commission take?

A. Typically commissions will take a minimum of 4-6 weeks. It depends on the artist as well as other factors such as size, medium, and shipping method.

Q. The artist lives in Arizona and I live in Illinois. Do I have to pay for shipping?

A. Yes, shipping cost (and any custom fee or taxes for purchases made outside the US) are the responsibility of the buyer. AES Gallery is happy to generate estimated shipping quotes and make the shipping arrangements on your behalf.

Q. How will I install my artwork?

A. If you reside in the Chicago area, please contact gallery associate Lydia Crespo at aesgallery@aol.com or 773-281-0002.

Q. Why do I need to make a 50% non-refundable deposit?

A. The deposit is reassurance that all parties (buyer, gallery, and artist) are seriously committed to the completion of the commission. It is the goal of AES Gallery and the artist to create a piece that thrills the buyer.

Q. What if the artist is involved in an accident or taken ill while working my commission? Do I lose my deposit?

A. No, unforeseen circumstances will not force you to forfeit your deposit.
